Established in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband, Cyril de Bournet, Clos Apalta Casa Lapostolle is a renowned estate in Chile’s beautiful Colchagua Valley. Since 2013, the company has been under the leadership of the seventh generation of the Lapostolle family and renowned consultant Michel Rolland.
With over 370 hectares of vineyards in the Casablanca, Cachapoal, and Colchagua regions, the winery benefits from exceptional microclimates and terroir, producing high-quality wines through traditional expertise. Clos Apalta is a blend primarily featuring Carmenere, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Merlot, sourced from a vineyard with some vines over 80 years old on outstanding terroir. The wine displays a deep ruby red color with purple hues and a rich aromatic profile of spices, red fruits, ripe plums, dried figs, clover, and cedar notes.
On the palate, it is concentrated and balanced, with refined tannins and a harmonious interplay of alcohol and freshness, offering a generous and persistent finish. Enjoy it with grilled red meats or Chili con Carne.

Located in the unspoiled Colchagua Valley near the Andes Mountains, Clos Apalta is a top winery in South America. The vineyard was acquired by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994, after they came across the historic vineyards dating back to the early 1900s. Today, the estate is home to some of the world’s oldest Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere vines, with 16 hectares planted between 1915 and 1940.
These ancient vines have helped establish the estate as a producer of outstanding red wines, including their 2005 Clos Apalta, which was recognized as Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year. Le Petit Clos is seen as the more youthful sibling to their flagship Clos Apalta wines, known for its approachability when young and a lively, fruit-driven flavor profile. This Bordeaux-style blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere, with hints of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.
The grapes undergo fermentation in large casks and are then aged in new French oak barrels for six months before being transferred to used barrels for an additional 16 months. The resulting wine is a robust and vibrant red, bursting with ripe dark berries, damsons, and mulberries. It offers a full body, structured tannins, and a long finish with hints of spice and tobacco leaf on the palate.

Situated in Provence, Clos Cibonne is a historic property nestled on a hill at the base of the Maures mountains, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the port of Toulon. The estate has been in the Roux family’s possession since the late 1700s and takes its name from its first owner, Count Jean-Baptiste de Cibon. The 24-hectare vineyards are strategically located in a natural basin near the sea, providing ideal soil and climate conditions for producing high-quality wines.
One of their exclusive offerings is the Cotes de Provence Cru Classe Cuvee Speciale des Vignettes Rose, crafted from grapes sourced from the estate’s oldest vineyard with vines exceeding 60 years. Following manual harvesting, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures in old foudres on the lees, covered by a thin layer of fleurette, for a year.
This exceptional wine stands out due to its unique blend of a rare grape variety and an unconventional aging process, resulting in an intense and aromatic profile. Aromas of vanilla, quince, pear, candied fruit, and nuts intermingle on the nose, while the palate offers a fresh, full-bodied, and generously spicy finish. It can be enjoyed on its own as a special aperitif or paired excellently with seafood and grilled white meats.
